Scrapbooking
I like to scrapbook, but it takes so long to create a page, not to mention it is very expensive to buy the materials you need to create a page or make it look a certain way. I will post some of my favorite scrapbook pages here and other ideas and sites that I have found great to use for scrapbooking ideas.
*When I was pregnant with our first son, we received some cute tissue paper with blue feet all over it. I took the tissue paper and pasted it (stick glue) to the original white piece of paper that came with the memory book. I then took the cards from the baby shower, cropped them, if I could, and placed them on the paper. It turned out really cute!
*I save ribbons and wrapping paper from gifts for background and edging pictures.
*Need stencils or not good at making fonts and don't want to buy another template?
1. Go to Microsoft Publisher (if you have it on your computer) and type the title of your scrapbook page in the Word Document.
2. Highlight the text and make it the size and font that you like the best
3. At the top click on Format followed by Font
4. A window will pop up and under the Effects section, check the Outline option
5. Click on Apply and Ok
6. You can print off many more if you like on one sheet, but make sure you preview the print before you actually print to make sure it will be on the same line or on the page
7. You can take a straight edge cutter and make the words into your own stencil or if the paper was cardstock and the letters big enough, you can use those letters and place them where you want on the page.
*I try to get together with some friends or family members who like to scrap book and we then can share our materials like stencils, stamps, punches and so on.
*Always find a coupon before you go to a craft store to buy materials/supplies
