Hobbies can help keep a person in a good mood. What a hobby is is a chance to use their skills to make something nice or do something fun that they enjoy. There are so many hobbies out there, it is hard not to find one, but some can be expensive, especially if you are trying to find a hobby and you might not like it.
Scrapbooking requires a lot of materials to make one page. You need stickers, templates, paper, pictures, cutting tools, other decoration items if you want. The list seems endless (go to a craft store to see). What you can do in this instance is find someone, who you are close to, who does like to scrapbook and has many supplies already. Ask them if they would mind you coming to their house to scrapbook and use their tools. Now you will need to bring some of your own supplies like the paper, your pictures, and any embellishments you want to add as it is your page. If the friend offers you stickers and embellishments, you can use them, but never assume. The total cost for 1 page can be about $5-$10 depending on how much you want to have on the page, but your scrapbooking friend most likely will have scraps and other tools that will save you a lot in the long run.
Sports are also hobbies and some of these can be expensive like golf, camping, or water sports. An idea to save money while seeing if you like a sport would be to rent equipment or find a friend who would be willing to let you borrow some. Some sports equipment an be found at a consignment shop. If you find you do like the sport and want to get into it more, you can start to purchase or replace equipment as you can afford it.
